WEEK 118: LOVE WHAT YOU ARE DOING

Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love what you are doing and learning to do. Pele

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): This week I want to share with you how you can find clarity on the path to achieving massive success!

Often times it feels we are a Six Flag amusement park riding a crazy roller coaster when we set out to achieve something meaningful...ie, close the gap between where we are and achieving our dreams to create a life we love!

Unfortunately, most people don't even get to ride the ride, as they are stuck in line waiting to get on.

Or worse yet, they do get on and had totally different expectations of what it meant to actually strive for such worthwhile goals and success. They enjoy the anticipation of the climb, but puke on the decent and can not take the stress caused from the turning and twisting in between.

WHY?

They block themselves from the experience of achieving success. You might ask "why would someone actually want to block themselves from achieving success?"

Yet, a majority of people do this on autopilot daily!

HOW...

they react to everything which happens to them, which causes them to move farther away from success, rather than moving closer to it.

I have said in the past success, or failure, are mechanical. They are produced by the consistent actions you take on a daily basis.

For example, your current state of your finances, health, or whatever indicator you are looking at, is where it is at due to the daily decisions and actions you take.

Now, imagine if you are daily reacting from one event to the next, believing you really have no control. No clarity on how you can achieve success, let alone survive your day!

Do you think you would move closer to achieving more success or moving father away from it?

Now let me share a secret with you about achieving success.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, that happens in another persons mind can harm you. Nor can the shifts and change in the world around you (EXTERNAL things, they are always in flux).

Then what can? You ability to see it. You must understand whatever happens to another person - good or bad alike - is neither good or bad.

You must not react to it, but see the result in the lens of LAG and LEAD indicators.

A reminder, LAG indicators are results caused by LEAD indicators, daily decisions and actions you take.

Let me just give you an example. I have lost 10 kilos, that is right, 10 kilos in the last two months.

In the past I would ride the emotional roller coaster of weight loss dependent on the LAG indicators, whatever my weight was that day.

This would shift my focus from my LEAD indicators. What was the result?

Well, the ups and downs would cause me to be all over the place. Happy if I lost, frustrated and angry if I gained (even a little). All of this allowed me to think I could not do it, which would eventually drain al of my will power and I would jump right back into the unhealthy habits which caused me to be overweight.

Success 0, Failure 1!

The Leap Process (TLP) has armed me with this new perspective of LAG and LEAD indicators to achieve success in any realm. For example, I have found and sustained success for the longest period of time in the last decade with my weight. This also being in the middle of the holiday season.

It is powerful! No longer up and down or being driven of what my weight will be (LAG). Whatever my weight, I now focus on the LEAD indicators which created those results, and then roll with the punches to ADAPT and FIGURE it out!

Less stress, less frustration, less...everything and the confidence that success in inevitable!

This lesson is being passed onto all areas of my life.

1. Not to react but see situations clearly in terms of LEAD and LAG indicators.
2. Do not to let the opinions of others and especially yourself cloud the situation. Do this by aggressively separating FACT from opinion to get to the truth.
3. Use the truth to "zig and zag" or take action and autocorrect to achieve any SUCCESS you choose.

(READ the last three steps over and over...it is the key to unlocking your amazing ability to achieve any success!)

Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Completing my morning routine everyday. I am met with success everyday before most get out of bed.
2. Listening to audible and life hack podcast. Both are helping me make exponential growth in areas of my life.
3. Discipline to zen. Unlocking abilities of the body I never knew I had.

Biggest lessons and learnings?

Ability to aggressively to separate FACT from opinion. Focusing on LEAD indicators to zig and zag, to achieve any outcome.

What are you grateful for?

Being able to travel home and spend the holidays with family!

-----
PLANNING (Implementation Intention):  You will follow through 2X to 3X more likely to complete your weekly task than you normally would just by filling in the following statement.

I plan to complete the weekly task [day] at [time] in [location].

A reminder you might have to use multiple Implementation Intentions in order to follow through.

EXECUTION (strategies used):  From week to week, I use a combination of many strategies. There are always some which are used more than others depending on what comes up, but I wanted to offer a link to all them at once.

My advice is to identify the I CAN'T statement you tell yourself during the most. Then find a strategy below the statement which resonates with you, and then start using it.

Enjoy!

WEEK 116: SUCCESS IS MECHANICAL

Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, create a life you do not want to escape from.  Seth Godin

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): I saw the quote this week and it was so powerful.

This week I want to write to you about some powerful insights I am learning about success, so you can close the gap between where you are and achieve your dreams so you can do just that...create a life you do not want to escape from.

Success, a much sought after thing, yet most of us have no real way of knowing how to achieve it on a consistent basis.

Similar to the mythical unicorn, everyone says they have seen it from time to time, but only a select few know where they can find it on a consistent basis.

Now, in the past I have talked about the idea that success is mechanical. What I mean, is you are at your current place of success or failure, due to the consistent actions you take on a daily basis. (Lead Indicators).

For example, if you are in the best, or worst, shape of your life it is because of what you do on a daily basis, not what you do every once in a while.

Today, I want to take this a step further and connect it to some DEEP insights I have lately.

What I have already shared is very powerful, yet what I am going to explain next is similar to seeing the rest of a partially submerged iceberg in its entirety. Mind blowing.

Like I mentioned above, success is mechanical.

Now this requires you to take consistent, daily action to achieve it. Additionally, you will need to autocorrect and take the the appropriate actions frequently in order to make the necessary changes to move closer to achieving your goals.

Autocorrecting involves the integral task of separating FACT from opinion. This is so important, as if we let our opinions cloud the situation, the actions we take can lead us astray.

For example, you study for two hours for an exam, only to get a C. Your opinion is studying for long hours does not make a difference, thus you decide to study less for the next exam, which produces an even lower grade.

Or, you could have separated FACT from opinion first to produce a more favorable result. In the case above, you could have analyzed how you spent those two hours and eliminated things which did not help you (chatting on social media) and replaced those with more beneficial actions.

This process of autocorrecting and taking action is similar to how a plane gets from one location to the next. We often times feel we get into the air and then it is a linear path to our destination. Where as, in reality, we are constantly zigging and zagging according to the elements in the air, so we can arrive at our destination in the shortest amount of time.

Now the opinions which could our judgement usually show up in the form of negative emotions. Frustration, aggressiveness, insecurity...take your pick.

Often times theses feelings have a negative connotation as they take us out of our comfort zone. Thus, we try to avoid them at all costs if we encounter them, which often times means you quit.

However, these negative emotions are actually an inherent part of taking on a meaningful goal, for example, closing the gap between where you are and achieving you dreams.

Furthermore, they warning signs telling you need to plot a new path to achieve what you are trying to do. It is your automatic success mechanism, or ASM, saying you are heading in the wrong direction.

Now we all feel frustration and these other negative emotions, no one is immune. I mean NO ONE. The Pope, Richard Branson, everyone. However, the most success people on the planet are those who can identify these negative emotions as what they are...warning signs to analyze the FACTS and then to take corrective actions.

This process of reading negative emotions properly involves three steps:

1. Awareness. You need to understand no one is immune and will feel these emotions on the path to closing the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams (or any other worthwhile endeavor). They are inherent part of the process and signaling you to autocorrect.

2. Understand at a deep level fostering or magnifying these negative feelings (doubt, fear, anger, aggressiveness, insecurity...)  do not help you in solving your problems.

It is like when a child throws a tantrum and just cries louder and louder to get a toy. It might of helped you when you were younger, but this infant like behavior will not serve you as you get older. Life will not come with a gentle hand when you cry LOUDER and complain when you do not achieve what you want. Understand it does not work!

3. Read them properly, as warning signs to take corrective action. Separate FACT from opinion and then use that truth to take the appropriate actions moving forward.

Thus, know success is mechanical and you will encounter negative feelings on the path of closing the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams.

However, be vigilant to identify them properly so you can AUTOCORRECT and ACT accordingly!

Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Listen and implement ideas from the life hack podcast! Growing in my relationships daily.
2. Listen and implement actions from audible. Such powerful insights about success learned and being implemented.
3. Being disciplined to keep zen for my body. More energy, more time to devote to my LP, so many benefits!

Biggest lessons and learnings?

CVVCR...Choices Validate Vision and Create Reality. I will write about this later, but it is huge!

What are you grateful for?

Optimal health. I am now at 67.5 kilos (148.5) pounds and reached my target weight in less than 2 months time. Yet, the most incredible thing is I have the CLARITY on how to stay here for the rest of my life!

WEEK 115: 100% COMMITMENT

Desire is the key to motivation, but it is determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you attain the success you seek.

Mario Andretti

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

This week I want to discuss the idea of being 100% committed. This is a topic I have spoken about earlier in The Leap process, but events this week highlighted its power.

I learned this from Dane Maxwell, who is the co-owner of The Foundation where they teach anyone how to create a software business from scratch. Oh, by the way he is a multi-millionaire as well.

It was early on in my Leap Process, but what he said was blaring through my mind this week.

"100% commitment is easy, while 99% is a B(^$%!"

Often times we feel the opposite of this statement. We think it will be much more challenging to be 100% committed all the time, rather than a majority of the time.

For example, you want to eat healthier, yet you feel you will be tempted and it will be super hard to stay 100% committed to a food plan which will actually works with your body.

Or

You want to get that internship, promotion, or whatever else you desire, yet you think you will be distracted by missing out on social events.

The point is, what Dane and quite a lot of other successful people have said about commitment is completely true.

Being 100% committed is so much easier than being anything else.

Let me tell you why.

I have started a new lifestyle change with my eating habits and in the past six weeks have lost 8 kilos. That is right 8 kilos. I have not weighed this much since high school.

It was hard to adjust to the eating plan at first (as any big change does) and I had to let go of a lot of the myths I was taught about food since a young age. Now as apart of this plan you are able to have "load days" where you are able to consume some things you were not able to eat in the previous six weeks.

Now there are a few more stipulations, yet I ignored them and decided to go full tilt and eat all the things I had wanted to eat, but could not.

The result? Being keeled over, stomach pains, and running to the bathroom all night.

Now why do I tell you this story? How does this connect to you on the path to closing the gap between where you are and achieving yoru dreams?

It goes back to being 100% committed.

I had followed a program which had produced amazing results and yet I decided not to listen to it and try my own thing.

Funny thing is we often do this. We reach a level of success following a set of successful guidelines, and then think we can do whatever we want and it will still work. (This is the 99% being committed)

The result is we fall off the wagon, as they would say, and we are frustrated as why things are not working.

But...

If you were to analyze your inputs or your lead indicators (daily decisions and actions) you would clearly be able to see you were not 100% committed. If you were, then you would not be where you are in the first place.

To pull this all together.

Be 100% committed to your LP through the tough times, and especially the good times. This will allow you to save the mental energy for your 20% actions which will accelerate your progress.

Make the decision to close the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams and be 100% committed to making this your reality.

Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Listening to life podcast daily. Really honing on becoming a better mate.
2. Listening to and scribing with audible. So powerful!
3. Going back to eating following nutri-90 guidelines.

Biggest lessons and learnings?

Being 100% committed. Makes it all so much easier.

What are you grateful for?

Being able to give my amazing wife a much needed weekend with friends! It gave me the opportunity to play with and connect with my children!

WEEK 114: SEPARATING FACT FROM OPINION

Be aggressive to separate FACT from opinion!   Maxwell Maltz

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): Welcome back fro another installment of The Leap Process, where you close the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams.

Has a nice ring to it doesn't it?

Just wanted to share we are less than a month away from the launch of the book and I have to pinch myself to believe it is finally here!

So grateful!

Now, I want to share something powerful I learned this week which can help you transform your perspective.

I learned it from the book Psycho Cybernetics, again if you have not read it, you need to if you are embarking on this path to achieving your dreams!

Now instead of just telling you the punch line, I want to give you some scenarios to think about first.

1. You think you will die by eating a bug.
2. You think your life will be over if you do not get the promotion/internship/into the perfect institution.
3. A person losses $200,000 in a hour from the stock market. He feels he is a ruin.
4. A person is told they can not be a doctor as they come from a poor background.

Let's dive a little deeper into each situation to see the powerful strategy I was able to uncover this week.

First, eating a bug will not kill you (unless it is a poisonous one). That is a fact. The thought you will die is your ownn opinion, fear, about the experience.

Second, the fact is life will continue whether you get it or not. It is your opinion of not getting the promotion/internship/into the perfect institution, which makes you believe you will no longer live.

Third, the person who loses $200,000. It is a fact, they lost the money. There is no way around it. Now, the belief that their life is ruined or the idea they are a ruin just there opinions, fears, about the situation.

Fourth, the person who is told he can not be a doctor because he comes from a poor background. It is a fact he comes from a poor background, but it is someone eases opinion, fears, that he can not become a doctor.

There is no real fact which will hold him back from becoming one if he chooses to be one.

All of these examples highlight this powerful idea of "Separating FACT from opinion."

We often times hold ourselves back from taking action on the path to closing the gap between where we are and achieving our dreams, as we cannot separate the difference between the two.

Yet, what I have learned is the most successful people on this planet are the ones who can "aggressively" separate FACT from opinion.

Instead of reacting to situations, they remain calm and use all of their capabilites to adapt and figure out any sitiation.

They do not let their opinions, fears and anxieties, cloud the facts, so they can act appropriately to any situation.

In my life this week there have been many instances where I was finally able to see and implement this.

First, I have lost EIGHT kilos on the new lifestyle program I have started with my wife. Although it is getting easier, there are still times when my addiction to unhealthy food is strong.

The new lifestyle change requires you to only eat at three set times during the day. Now in the past I would eat breakfast, then a snack at 10:00, and then lunch. Afterwards, maybe something to tie me over in the afternoon, and then finally dinner.

The perceived feeling I am famished at 10:00 am is really my opinion, fear I am not getting enough food. I have been able separate the FACT that most times we think we are hungry, our bodies are actually asking for water. Thus the FACT is my body is asking to be hydrated, versus my opinion of needing food.

This correct information allows me to drink a glass of water, which afterwards, I feel fine. This has lead me to losing EIGHT kilos in about a months time. Something I was not able to do in the last 15 years of my life.
Second, is my son. He is growing up so fast now and talking all the time. In my mind I can see him already writing essays and accomplishing so much...
YET...

I get super frustrated when he can not follow simple directions.
FACT is he is a little under three years old. It is normal for him to not follow directions to a T and comprehend abstract topics. My opinion, fear he should already be able to do this, clouds the fact, which in turn causes me to get frustrated.
Both of these situations have ended in disappointment and me going back to the drawing board to see if I could figure another way of succeeding or dealing with the situation, thinking success was such a mystery.
This ability to separate FACT from opinion is powerful, as it provides the correct information. This is vital in accelerating your progress towards closing the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams, as you are able to take the appropriate actions.
Furthermore, it connects to the idea of confidence. I have mentioned in past weeks that confidence is the ability to see when something is not working, and then using your flexibility and knowledge to ADAPT and FIGURE IT OUT.
This can only happen when you do not cloud the FACTS with opinions. Thus, allowing you to see the correct information, and take the appropriate actions.
So be aggressive to separate FACT from opinion, so you can accelerate your progress towards closing the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams!
Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Listening to life coach podcast...so many lessons on how to be a better mate!
2. Listening to and capturing notes in workflowy about Psycho Cybernetics. Powerful.
3. Disciplined to n90 program. Increased energy, clarity, and EIGHT kilos lost!

Biggest lessons and learnings?

Be aggressive to separate FACT from opinion to take the appropriate actions and accelerate your progress!

What are you grateful for?

Being able to publish a book. It is an incredible feeling and words can not expres how grateful I am for being disciplined to this process!

WEEK 113: MOMENTUM

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): For the last month or so I have been really crystalizing the idea around confidence.

Today I want to take a deep dive into an aspect of it which will allow you to leverage it to your advantage, so you can close the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams!

Now do you remember those days in high school science class where you learned about momentum? Probably not, but little did you know those very lesson would be a key to you unlocking levels of success never thought possible.

I have learned you either learn to manage momentum, or struggle to get it back. Understanding and working with it allows you to accelerate your progress.

Funny thing is if you asked most people what momemtum is, they woudl give you a pretty general answer about how it deals with movement.

Yet, defining it properly can help you achieve any goal, massive success, and achieve you dreams.

I actually learned this from one of my mentors, Taylor, co-owner of the Traffic and Funnels. They are crushing it as a business and clearing 500k per month in revenue (one day)!

Like I mentioned above, the key part is to learn how to manage it, or you will constantly struggle to make true progress.

Some key vocabulary you will need to know. Lead and Lag indicators.

When starting out there will be a period where nothing works (which is normal). You will take action but you will see little to no progress. However, being committed and learning from your actions will allow you to start producing results.

In this process the actions you take correspond to your LEAD indicators and the results from those actions are your LAG indicators.

Unfortunaley, most us focus on the LAG indicators and get super frustrated when they are not exactly what we expected.

Yet...

What we really need to focus on are the LEAD indicators.

Connection time. I have said in the past you must focus on your systems, or daily decision or actions, in order to make progress.

The frustration occurs when we solely focus on the end results...did not lose the weight, did not earn this much money, ecetera.

But...

What we really need to focus on are the systems = inputs = LEAD indicators which caused those results. Furthermore, you need to track and analyze these LEAD indicators and use the Pareto principle to identify which set of actions help you make the biggest strides moving forward.

Additionally, momemntum is cyclical. This means it does not last forever.

In terms of mathematics, it is periodic not linear.

Now, those of you who need a refresher, a linear relationship means as one value goes up so does another in a constant fashion. Where as, a periodic function has a cycle, where it starts in one location and then returns to the same point in a interval of time.

Thus, you must understand there will be a time of no results (LAG) while taking action (LEAD). However, the tracking and analyzing of your actions (LEAD) will allow you to accelerate when you start seeing favorable results (LAG). This will continue for a period of time, but will start to wain.

This is where you need to understand a CHANGE must occur as momentum will not grow or stay constant from the same actions you are taking.

This is a huge insight, as people or businsess for that fact beleive they can ride the momemtum forever. Yet the bubble pops and then they are caught of guard.

For example, the housing market crashes after a period of high selling prices. Or the stock market crash of 2008. All following the normal cycle of momentum.

The hardest part of thinking this way is you lose the momentum you worked so hard for, and it is two to three times as hard to get it back as you have to start from the beginning of the process.

Now how does this connect to confidence?

I have written confidence is the ability to see when something is not working and then having the ability to adapt and figure it out.

Well, to do this you need to understand the cycle of momentum to see when you need to be "flexible and use your knowledge" to "adapt" ie focus on your LEAD indicators. This continuous process will allow you to "figure it out" and create the LAG indicators you desire.

Deep and powerful stuff!

So use this knowledge of momentum to help you on your path of closing the gap between where you are and achieving your dreams.

Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Dropping all expectations and loving. Got this from a podcast my beautiful wife gave me. Frees up so much mental and physical energy!
2. Listening to audible daily. Even 5 minutes can make a huge difference.
3. Following the n90 program. Sleep, health, energy...all have gone up trememdously.

Biggest lessons and learnings?

The correlation between confidence and momentum. The Focus on LEAD indicators, not LAG indicators.

What are you grateful for?

Clarity about food. I have not had this ability to understand nutrition for 37 years of my life and it eye opening to finally have this power to control my weight! Incredible.

WEEK 111: CONFIDENCE

Confidence is recognizing something is not working and having the flexibility and knowledge to make adjustments.

Tim Grover

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): This week I want to write to you about an integral part of achieving any goal, massive success, and your dreams.

But before I get into it I want to tell you a little story...

There was this shy boy who really liked a certain girl, but did not believe she would ever say yes to hanging out with him.

He could visualize in his mind talking to her for hours on end and all the things they would do...but his dream ended when he snapped back to reality.

"Who do I think I am, she is way out my league!"

Now the central idea portrayed above is a part of so many other stories and is exactly why most of us find it so hard to achieve our dreams.

What is it?

Confidence.

We all think we know what it means, but most of us really do not know. I would bet most people could not define it if you were to ask them, yet this is what you need to understand before you can achieve any goal, massive success, and your dreams.

To start, you really need to know the difference between being confident and being cocky. Knowing the difference can produce drastically different results.

Cockiness is the inability to see something is not working and repeating the same mistake over and over. This is what Albert Einstein called insanity.

Tim Grover wrote it succinctly,

"Confidence is recognizing something is not working and having the flexibility and knowledge to make adjustment."

This means you will need to constantly adjust and keep rolling with the punches. Additionally, you must understand things might not work at all. Especially the first time.
I have written in the past the path to achieving your dreams will be hazy and unclear at times. This lack of clarity will cause you to feel uncomfortable feelings like doubt, anxiety, and fear. These feelings can stop you dead in your tracks as the uncertainty is too much.
This is where the definition of confidence comes into play. You might not know everything you will need to do, but you must center your thoughts around the belief you have the ability to see when something is not working. This will enable you to use your flexibility and knowledge to adjust and figure it out!
Wow....that is powerful!
You do not need to know everything...you just need to dedicate yourself daily to developing yourself and your craft. This builds up your knowledge and flexibility to be ready for any situation.
For me, this new found definition of confidence came at the perfect time. I have three simultaneous businesses running currently. Recently, I have felt a little overwhelmed as I do not know with 100% certainty all the necessary things to move each one forward.
However I have been rejuvenated after this epiphany about confidence; identifying when something is not working, being flexible, and using my knowledge to adapt and figure it out!
This ties so many other learnings I have had lately.
Acting from a place of confidence allows me to
1. Make a decision, and have a relentless, singular focus to make it right.
2. Act from abundium (element of abundance).
3. Understand everything is a means to an end, not an end itself.
4. Ability to see nothing that happens in another persons mind can harm us. Nor the shifts and changes in the world around us.
Like I said before...powerful!
Now can you build confidence by just sitting on your laurels? No, it is built from daily preparation and honing your mental and physical skills.
That is why the LYP has been so instrumental for me. It has given me a conduit to build up my confidence through a daily commitment to personal development.
Did this happen over night?
No, but I can guarantee you will be able to achieve ANYTHING if you commit to your LYP, as it will arm you with the confidence to achieve your dreams!,
Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Investing time to ingest beneficial information for my growth. Traffic and Funnels and the book Relentless.
2. Listening to a Life coach podcast. Eye opening for me and my ideas surrounding relationships.
3. Following the Nutri-90 program (lost 3 kilos in one week).

Biggest lessons and learnings?

Being able to define confidence.

What are you grateful for?

The LYP...it has opned up a new life never thought possible. Dreams I could not have imagined are now tangible thigns I can visualize and see in my future!

-----
PLANNING (Implementation Intention):  You will follow through 2X to 3X more likely to complete your weekly task than you normally would just by filling in the following statement.

Enjoy!

WEEK 110: SAFETY AND IMPACT

Investing in the long term safety requires you to DISRUPT and VIOLATE short term safety (comfort)!   Taylor Welch

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): I want to share a great message I heard from one my mentors this week.

His name is Taylor Welch and although he is based mainly in business, he offers so much information on how you can take yourself to the next level in all areas of your life.

Taylor was speaking on how people go into business for one of two reasons.

First, impact. This is the idea you want to leave this earth a better place than when you arrived. It is having the satisfaction you were able to help people reach higher levels of themselves never thought possible.

He later goes onto to say if you truly want to make an impact, then you must play "Full Out!" Which means you invest all you have and more into reaching your goals and dreams. This means both in money, but most importantly your time.

From choosing who to spend more time with, to what activities you do on a daily basis. These are all investments you make which will either lead you closer or farther away from where you want to be.

Now how do you play "Full Out" to create an impact?

Well you need to invest in people and environments which will help you accelerate the process. This is similar to "Finding a Pro" and "Being a Pro" from the LYP.

I have learned success leaves clues, and you will never move faster (or save money or time) trying to figure everything out on your own.

That does not mean you just go out and invest in any program, you must do your due diligence. However, what normally takes years can now be learned and implemented in months!

The second reason why people going into business is safety. Safety for their loved ones, safety for their future, safety in how they use their time!

The crucial thing which most of us miss, is there are actually two different types of safety. Short term and long term.

99% of us on this planet fight to ensure short term safety at all costs, ie our comforts. We have been taught to think playing it small is equal to playing it safe, and we do everything in our power to be safe! However, this very reason holds us back from achieving our goals, success, and dreams.

WHY?

It does not stretch and push us to reach our potential!

The 1% uber successful actually do everything to ensure long term safety first. This means they violate and disrupt the short term safety in order to ensure long term safety.

For example, my wife and I are changing to a healthier LIFESTYLE, not diet, and invested with a knowledgeable coach who is teaching us about nutrition and optimal health. This is for our long term safety, but it has totally disrupted our short term safety...investing our money, not being able to eat anything we want at any given time.

Although it is hard (it is, no getting around it), we are in it for the long term safety...to be able to watch our kids grow, and their kids as well!

So in the words of my mentor play "Full Out" on the path to achieving your goals, massive success, and your dreams!

Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Eating properly. Junk in junk out.
2. Listening to audio books at lunch. I moved away from this, but even 5 minutes a day can lead to dramatic changes.
3. Not telling others how to do things. No one likes being told what to do, thus I am working to do this with everyone in my life starting with my loved ones!

Biggest lessons and learnings?

Success leaves clues. You want to change? Want to accelerate your progress? "Find a Pro" and then "Be a Pro" at taking massive action to reach your goals.

What are you grateful for?

Financial abundance. Investing and providing for my family, traveling, taking actions to publish my book, running my businesses...it is a great feeling to have!

Having a purpose and living it out. I often forget when I did not have one, moving from one thing until the next, but now there is a singular focus to publish my book in December of this year and continue to build my three other successful online businesses!

WEEK 109: AUTOCORRECT

Things have no hold on the soul. They stand there unmoving, outside it. Disturbance comes only from within - from your own perceptions. Marcus Aurelius

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions):
I want to discuss with you an amazing realization I had this week which can help transform your life and help you achieve any goal, massive success, and your dreams.

But before we get into it, I want to tell you how an airplane gets from one location to another (trust me it connects).

Today, we just take it as a natural part of our lives, where we get in a plane and then the pilot takes us directly to our destination.

Yet, there are so many things which occur which the normal joe schmo like us do not see. From varying pressures in the atmosphere, different air currents, precipitation, and storms; rarely do we travel as the crow flies (straight path from one point to another).

The pilot and plane are constantly autocorrecting due to a drop in pressure, unseen turbulence (which is part of every flight), and any other event related to flying.

Now why did I tell you about how a plane autocorrects constantly to arrive at its destination?

Well, this is exactly how you achieve any goal, massive success, and your dreams. You make a decision and choose a destination, and then autocorrect constantly from the moment you take off until the point you land. Always, being present at that current moment and then choosing the best course of action to get you to your final destination.

Unfortunately, 99% of people on this planet have difficulties with the autocorrecting part. Either because they quit because they deviated from the straight path they decided or are overwhelmed by all the stress and frustration caused from all the new changes in their environment.

Now we, me being included from time to time, get stressed and angered because of the changes and shifts in the world around us. We REACT to whatever external event we are presented with and believe these events have power to determine who we are.

For example, you eat the carton of ice cream as you had a stressful day at work. Or, you lash out at your loved ones because your boss yelled at you earlier for no reason. Even worse yet, you did not invest in yourself, as another project came up which zapped your time.

Simply, we REACT and get angered, frustrated, overwhelmed...because of the changes. Yet, the changes are things which are constant.

Think about that for a second. Everything, and I mean everything, is always shifting and moving around us. It never stops. It is similar to Las Vegas or New York, those cities never sleep. They run 24/7.

This is why I love the quote and the learning I gained from it this week.
Change is always going to be a constant of our lives. The tension (stress, frustration, anger, hopelessness) comes internally based on how we one, choose to see the situation, and two, how we choose to deal with such events. I have learned this is what determines whether you will start or stop, endure or quit, succeed or fail.

Going back to the path of achieving your goals, massive success, and your dreams. You are overwhelmed with negative feelings due to being bombarded with all the changes of taking on such a challenge. You react and blame it on your external environment, which has caused you to lose focus and fall off the "wagon" (again).

When in reality, those external events or the "turbulence" on the flight, called your life, will always occur. Thus, the tension is not produced because of your environment, but your ability to see it.

This ties to what I have been talking about in the last two weeks about the power of making a decision, then having a relentless singular focus to make it right.
One of the hardest parts is to "make a decision right,' as it requires you to embrace change and all that it brings with it. However, think of yourself as an airplane autocorrecting on its flight path. Don't get mad or frustrated the air pressure increases, or a storm pops up. Observe it for what it is, then choose the best path which helps you reach your final destination.

Top three activities that move me forward?

1. Eating properly. Junk in junk out.
2. Appreciate more and judge less.
3. Being present. Even if you have to be in another place.

Biggest lessons and learnings?

The power of proper nutrition for the body. You can not perform your best if you are continually filling your body with junk.

What are you grateful for?

Having a purpose and living it out. I often forget when I did not have one, moving from one thing to the next with no clear end in sight. Where as now there is a singular focus to publish my book in December of 2017 and continue to build my three successful online businesses!
