Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible to the visible.

REFLECTIONS (learnings and actions): Today I write you from the beautiful porch from our hotel in Vietnam!
What an incredible site and as I reflect here I look back at all the growth that has happened since I started my TLP.
It is incredible, and the crazy thing is I continue to learn and grow...and that is the key.
That yearning and drive to keep learning and growing, which involves setting, achieving, and then resetting bigger goals!
This is something so many struggle with and really separates an amateur from a pro.
What is it? Goal setting.
How do you do it? What works? What does not?
Well, today I am going to break it down for you so you can start goal setting and achieving like a pro!
I do not have tons of time as I want to get back to my family, so am going to get right into it.
Step 1: Clarify your destination.
This is common hurdle for so many people, yet they really have no idea of one, who they want to BE, or what they want to achieve.
The top 1% define this clearly before anything else happens, so do the same when you make the goals to achieve your dreams!
Step 2: Get a map
Sounds simple, and this is actually how we travel today, but most people rarely do this while trying to achieve their dreams.
The DIY culture has been ingrained in our minds so much, that we waste the biggest resource we have, TIME, in order to try to figure it out ourselves.
Trust me, I did this as well for years, and made little to no progress at all. The huge gains happened when I doubled down, and INVESTED into those who provided a blue print for me to follow on this journey!
They outlined the twists, the turns, and provided the feedback to make adjustments when I got off track, instead of me thinking all was lost and quitting altogether.
Step 3: Choose the people you run with
You are the sum of the five people you hang out with most.
Are you succeeding or not? Take a look at who you spend the most time with. This will tell you if your environment is pushing you forward or actually hindering your progress.
This can be hard letting people go, but this is something you will have to do in order to make those gains you are so eagerly wanting.
Step 4: Choose ONE big rock to move at a time
Most driven individuals, entrepreneurs, or the like take on so many things as once. It is no wonder that we either make little progress or burnout from all the pulls on our attention and time.
It is like trying to push multiple large boulders up a hill. You move one a little, but then you move to another, but when you do, the other slides back down the hill. You are in a constant action, yet you make little progress.
Choose ONE thing, achieve it, and then move onto the next!
Step 5: Work backwards
This ties together #1 and #4. You need to first know where you are going, but then you need to break that down into parts so you can focus on smaller parts of achieving that monumental task.
Like Lao Tzu said, "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." You can not jump from the beginning to the end in one full step.
Thus, define where you want to go, and then break it down into parts, which you then focus on ONE thing at a time.
Step 6: Break it down into 90 day increments
Now that you know where you are going, broke it down into smaller chunks to work with, chose ONE thing to complete, now make that the focus for the next 90 days.
A common myth is that you have to have hyper-activity to achieve worthwhile goals, but in actuality, you really need to focus on 3-4 key activities which will help you make strides to achieve those goals.
That is what you do here, you take the ONE thing you are focusing on and decide what key 3-4 activities will help you achieve it and do those 3-4 activities daily for the next 90 days.
This will allow you to achieve the first part, then you move onto the next part, then once you achieved that the next, and by the 4th time you have done it in a year you have probably achieved something pretty amazing!
So there you have it, a full proof goal setting and action plan for you to achieve amazingness!
So what are you waiting for? Go out and set and achieve some amazing goals!
Top three activities that move me forward?
1. Getting back to Zen. Eating the right foods that nourish the body.
2. TMM. Keeps the killer of dreams in check...doubt.
3. Eating the right food. What you consume has such a profound effect on all areas of your life.
Biggest lessons/learnings and corrections?
Garbage in equals garbage out. Can't make the strides you are looking for? Look at what you are consuming.
What are you grateful for?
Being able to invest in the skill and resources that will allow me to reach the goals I have set out for myself and my business.

PLANNING (Implementation Intention): You will follow through 2X to 3X more likely to complete your weekly task than you normally would just by filling in the following statement.
PLANNING (Implementation Intention): You will follow through 2X to 3X more likely to complete your weekly task than you normally would just by filling in the following statement.
I plan to complete the weekly task [day] at [time] in [location].
A reminder you might have to use multiple Implementation Intentions in order to follow through.
EXECUTION (strategies used): From week to week, I use a combination of many strategies. There are always some which are used more than others depending on what comes up, but I wanted to offer a link to all them at once.
My advice is to identify the I CAN'T statement you tell yourself during the most. Then find a strategy below the statement which resonates with you, and then start using it.
Enjoy!
